Dundrum House is a stately Georgian Mansion that is set in County Tipperary within acres of beautiful parkland with a Golf Course & Country Club, set within 10 miles from the Rock of Cashel. Dundrum House dates back to 1730 and was built for Lord Hawarden, Earl of Montalt. The Earl governed the region during the times of Anglo authority. The hotel is located within lush grounds and surrounded by an 18-hole parkland golf course that is also part of County Tipperary Golf and Country Club. Dundrum House has been wonderfully renovated and has retained the charm of a distinguished country retreat. Many of the rooms have retained their original ceilings and fireplaces. Hugely spacious guest rooms are very well furnished with a period style items. This blends Dundrum’s historic elements with modern conveniences. Dundrum offers a wide variety of fun facilities that include a classy restaurant and a fully equipped leisure centre. The leisure centre includes a 20 metre swimming pool and a health spa with sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi as well as a selection of health and beauty therapies. But Dundrum’s prime facility is undoubtedly its golf course. The course was designed by Philip Walton. The par 72 course uses the natural features of woodland and parkland and the Multeen River to create a challenging course. Dundrum is just 10 miles from the historic attraction of the Rock of Cashel, and is ideally situated for exploring the counties of Tipperary, Limerick and Kerry.
